Vocalia 2.0 is the only 100% hands free speech recognition application which enables speech access to your address book, iTunes library and Safari bookmarks. It works on iPhone and 2nd generation iPod Touch (even faster on 3GS devices).

Speak, and Vocalia will help you quickly find:

How does Vocalia work?
1. Click Vocalia's icon to make "Vocalia's Eye" appear.
2. Choose the right mode: Contacts, iPod or Bookmarks.
3. Speak the name of the contact, artist or bookmark.
4. Vocalia selects the results close to what you pronounced.
5. Select the correct number by saying "home", "work"... (Contact Mode), or the song to be played by saying "All songs", or the title of a particular album or song (iPod Mode).

With Vocalia, you can...
• Define additional vocal shortcuts ("My best friend") in addition to the name ("John Doe")
• Split first and last name (saying "John" will display all corresponding entries of your address book)
• Set the navigation mode (voice, manual taps or timer).
• Activate Proximity sensing for better recognition results in noisy environments.
• Shake the iPhone to try again.
• Activate vibration so that you know when to start speaking.
• Import bookmarks from your Mac or PC.

How to get better results?
• Check the language used for speech recognition in the settings
• Activate the option "Split Names"

This is fantastic and thank you for allowing me to test it out.

Is there any plan to add ability to write text in the future? This is one of the most exciting apps I've seen come out and I have been waiting to find a speech recognition app.

Just curious as to how far you intend to take this awesome app.

Dictation is a feature we are not able to add at this moment. What we would like to do in the future, is to access other information in the iPhone. But we have to wait for Apple to allow it.

We don't have any promo codes left, I am sorry. Vocalia is able to recognize names in your address book, or artists in your iTunes library. So, if you added a contact with the name of a game app, Vocalia can find it. But Vocalia can't open other apps on your iPhone (not allowed by Apple at this time).

I tried several times to use the names in the contacts but it did not recognize any of the names correctly. I did not change any of the settings and no help messages were shown. I reviewed the FAQ's but still was not able to get it to work correctly. I like the idea and would like to see it work properly.
