Thief Buster comes with 3 different operation modes:

DON'T TOUCH MY iPhone MODE:

This mode is useful to place your device anywhere, and be sure nobody touches it. You can leave your device close to a door too, and be alerted when opened. Arm the alarm by introducing your passcode (place your fingers anywhere on the wall), you'll listen the sound indicating it's armed. it will disarm if you introduce your passcode again. If the device moves, the alarm will be activated. Introduce your passcode again to deactivate.

ANTI-POCKET PICKER MODE:

This is a useful mode when your iPhone falls or is picked out of your pocket. The iPhone's proximity sensor is used for activation/deactivation, thus it won´t be activated by movement. The sensor is located to the upper left, right above the screen. When the sensor first detects a nearby object, the alarm will arm (playing a sound and also vibrating so you can feel it). If the sensor stops sensing the nearby object, the alarm will be activated. Then, you'll need to enter your passcode to deactivate.
IMPORTANT:Always be sure to introduce the iPhone in your pocket upside down, and with the screen oriented outwards your body. This way it's less likely it activates when you move.

BAG DEFENDER MODE:

This mode is useful to be alerted when someone tries to steal your handbag or backpack, or any object in general where the iPhone fits while you still can hear the alarm. Just put your iPhone inside any outside pocket of the bag and wait 5 secs. Make sure you can hear the alert arming sound. Now make a quick test moving the bag so you can hear the sound of the alarm. The countdown is activated by the proximity sensor and the alarm is armed after 5 secs. As usual, introduce your passcode to deactivate the alarm.
