This is a great app, however, I would love to see a few additions.
One feature is the ability to keep your previous questions and cards on the table after you ask a new question.
I would also like the ability to see a synthesized version of the text in the cards.
Other than that great application.

Maybe, you don't have to, but you can explain the layout meanings? Or maybe what it can do exactly. Just a suggestion :D.
Small bug... maybe...
I have been playing with the app for several days now and have had a lot of fun with it. I did notice that when using the free layout option, you are allowed to rotate a card 180 degrees. This can invert a card yet the meaning message you get when you tap the card does not change. so I can get an inverted card, rotate it 180 and it is no longer inverted but the message still reads like it is. I'm not exactly sure if this is a bug or by design but it would seem to me to be incorrect.
Just thought I would throw that out there.

The drawing of the card is supposed to decide the way the card is supposed read and rotating it affects the reading, ie changing the meaning. (I'll have to mull some more on this, and if you know any pro tarot readers please ask, I'd like to hear if they rotate the card and change its 'interpretation' in mid-reading)
But in making your point it made me realize that I should change it so that all cards are drawn face down (or make it optional) and once the the cards have been spread touch something to flip them.
So thank you for the feedback as it has helped me think more about the whole reading experience.

Thanks for the code. I've written a positive review on iTunes, including some enhancement suggestions. One thing I'd like to add here is that turning a card in free layout mode isn't so intuitive. I tried initially to "hold" a card between my thumb and forefinger and twist the card ... but I realized later that I have to touch the card with one finger and move another finger around. I guess handling card turning isn't so easy to implement, especially since the cards are small, but I figured I'd just let you know my user experience.
